Yay! The Sun moves into Aries and we begin a new astrological year today and there is a Sun-Mercury conjunction in Aries making sure this is a much discussed event. On a personal level, I had hoped to have my haircut when Venus moved into Aries and was trine my natal Venus but it was Friday before I could get an appointment. Curiously it turned out Venus was exactly opposing my Moon from the fifth house. Another major aspect pattern in affect was a Yod with my Moon as the apex planet and Jupiter in Pisces sextile the Moon in Taurus as the base. Ended up having about four inches cut off, making for a whole new look that feels very light and free in keeping with Venus in Aries.
I’m also bracing for the affect the planets in Aries will have the Aries I live with. He is already seeing an increase in activity levels and I may have to careful not to get caught up turbulence created by him moving full speed ahead.
Are those of you with planets and Angles in the early degrees of Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn feeling the rush yet and learning about making decisions on the fly? Exciting times ahead . . . or not, if you don’t like change.

Was it the new moon in Aries last Saturday as well? I had the strangest feeling from the moment I woke up that day that I was a new person and my life was starting new that day!:-)

As long as Mars is in Leo (until June 7) fire signs are going to be getting an extra boost. They deserve it ’cause it was a “muddy” winter.

No, the New Moon was in Pisces (25 degrees) but Uranus & Mercury were conjoining it. That may have been what you noticed.

People tend to forget Cancer is a cardinal sign for some reason. If they had Cancer friends & family they sure wouldn’t. heh heh

Great cut, Diane – and lovely photo! I bet it feels strange to shampoo, and a lot less time to dry.
I have ungodly thick hair (Leo rising) and it takes forever to shampoo and even more to dry. But of course I’m too proud of my mane to cut it short. Length does at least allow for ponytails in warm weather.

It does take a LOT less time to shampoo & dry, not to mention shampoo & conditioner. I’m still adjusting to not having to deal with long hair too.

You do have a magnificent “mane”! The higher humidity levels in your area are much kinder to skin & hair than our much lower levels here. Adds to drying time though I’m sure.

This never occurred to me before. No WONDER I change my hair so much. I have Leo rising too so it’s think and grows insanely fast… dye it, cut it, who cares! It will grow back in a week.
